WHY SHOULD I JOIN?
If you are a school social worker, or you
hope to become a school social worker you should join ISSWA to support your
profession by supporting quality practice and high ethical standards. ISSWA is the only organization that can speak for school social workers
in Iowa. It
speaks for all of us on issues regarding standards and licensure.
ISSWA promotes the need for school social workers by increasing awareness of
the work that we do. ISSWA supports high practice standards by recognizing
those who have excelled and by providing an annual conference where school
social workers can learn from one another. By joining the association, you will have
the opportunity to influence ISSWA's position on professional standards and
licensure, and to support the Association's advocacy for the work you do in schools.
