Legislation and Advocacy Chair: Emilie Souhrada

Emilie Souhrada, MSW, LISW, received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Social Work and Spanish and her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2005 with a school social work specialization from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Emilie completed the Professional Service Administrative Endorsement from the University of Northern Iowa in 2014. Emilie currently works as a school social worker at Central Rivers AEA in Waterloo, Iowa. She has served on the ISSWA Board since 2014 first as Treasurer and then as President.  Emilie is the ISSWA Legislative and Advocacy Chairperson.  She also serves as the Vice President on the Midwest School Social Work Council and on the SSWAA Advocacy and Legislative  Action Committee.
