Past President: Betsy Garlich

Betsy Garlich, MSW, LMSW, received her Bachelor’s degree from Drake University in Psychology and Sociology in 2007 and with her Master’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2010. Betsy has worked as a School Social Worker in Iowa since 2013 in both rural and metro districts serving children ages birth-21. Her practice interests include Early Childhood, Twice Exceptional Students, and English Language Learners. She has been a board member with ISSWA since 2015. Betsy has had a variety of roles including Member at Large, Secretary, President, and now Past President. In her free time, Betsy enjoys getting outside with her kids, hiking, and biking.
