Kinzey Nicklaus, MSW, LMSW, is currently a School Social Worker with Heartland AEA. She has always been passionate about advocating for others and ensuring every voice is heard. She values building strong relationships with students, families, and school teams, and enjoys finding creative ways to support students’ growth and success. Before becoming a school social worker, Kinzey worked in mental health and Iowa Waiver Services, supporting children and families with unique needs. Those experiences deepened her belief in the importance of connection, advocacy, and walking alongside people in both their struggles and their successes.

Outside of work, Kinzey enjoys spending time with her son and the foster children she cares for. Being both a mom and a foster parent has been one of the most meaningful parts of her life and continues to fuel her commitment to advocating for kids in every setting. She loves celebrating milestones big and small, making memories with her family, and finding joy in everyday moments.
