Please join the Iowa School Social Workers' Association and the Iowa School Psychologists Association for another Lunch and Learn session with Chaney Yeast. At this session, Chaney Yeast, Director of Government Relations at Blank Children's Hospital, will join us for an engaging conversation on the intersection of advocacy, collaboration, and coalition-building in the realm of children's health. Chaney will share her personal advocacy journey, including how her MSW background shapes her approach to policy work. The discussion will delve into the hospital’s legislative priorities and how they are informed by the needs of its patients. Chaney will highlight the importance of collaborating with community organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers to create systemic change. Participants will explore strategies for building strong coalitions to advocate for policies that promote youth well-being, with a special focus on mental health services and access to care in schools and communities.
